In 2017, with the A470, developed by Oreca and powered by a Gibson V8 engine, Alpine finished third in the championship, while in 2018-2019, it won twice at Le Mans, once again claiming the world title. Since 2021, Alpine has returned to Formula 1 and endurance racing at world level, where it has secured second place in the top category, the Hypercar, with a car built on an Oreca chassis powered by a Gibson engine.
