Step 1

Fit 17A Steering rack ( both ends horizontal ) to the grove of 17B Steering column , and position in its middle lengthwise.

Fit 17C Steering column part to 17B Steering column part and fix with two AM screws.

Fit 17E Universal joint ( top-bottom sides ) to 17D Pinion shaft fork and fix with two AM screws . Fit 17G Intermediate shaft to 17E Universal joint ( unengaged right-left sides ) and fix with two AM screws

Fit 17D Pinion shaft to 17F Gear cover, holding both together with finger for next assembly movement below.

Fit 17F Gear cover to 17C Steering column , making sure to engage ( mesh ) 17D Pinion shaft with 17A Steering rack teeth , and fix with two BM screws.

The resulting Steering Gear assembly should have 17A Steering rack both ends exiting approximately same distance from 17C Steering column in neutral / centered position. Rotate 17G Intermediate shaft left / right to check respective 17A Steering rack movement function.

Step 2

Fit two 18F Link arms to 18G anti-roll bar and fix with two DP screws.

Attach 18G Anti-roll bar to 16B Subframe with two 18I Clamps and fix each clamp with two AM screws.

Fit two 18J Clamps to 16B Subframe and fix with two BM screws.

Fit 18A Universal joint to 18B Shaft link and fix with two AM screws.

Fit 18A Universal joint to 17G Intermediate shaft and fix with two AM screws.

Fit two 18E Rubber bellows to 18C Left and 18D Right Track rods . Fit 18C Left and 18D Right Track rods to 17A Steering rack ends and fix with two CM screws.

Slide two 18E Rubber bellows to cover 17A Steering rack end joints.

18E Rubber bellows fit home.

Fit 12A and 14A Hub carriers to 18C Left and 18D Right Track rod ends and fix with two JM screws.

Fit 17B Steering column to 16B Subframe and fix with two BM screws . At the same time , guide two 18F Link arms to fit 12F and 14F Front suspension struts.

Align 12A Hub carrier to 16C Left trailing link arm and fix with JM screw . Don’t overtighten , to allow steering function.

Align 14A Hub carrier to 16D Right trailing link arm and fix with JM screw . Don’t overtighten , to allow steering function.

Secure 18F Link arm top end to 12F Front suspension strut with 18H Clip.

Secure 18F Link arm top end to 14F Front suspension strut with 18H Clip.

Step 3

Put 19A Michelin MXV tire for two minutes into hot water , and then fit it over 19B Wheel rim.

Step 4

Fit 20H ignition coil to 20G Back plate.

Fit 20G Back plate to 20F Ignition coil housing and fix with AP screw. Fit 20I High tension lead to 20F Ignition coil housing nozzle.

Fit 20F Ignition coil housing to 10A Front wheel arc frame and fix with BM screw.

Fit free end of 20I High tension lead to one remaining free nozzle of 6G Distributor cap . Refer to illustration above and two following illstrations.

20I High tension lead connected to 6G Distributor cap.

Fit 15D Pivot link to 8G Drive shaft extension.

Fit 13D Pivot link to socket formed by 5D Bottom and 5F Top Gearbox housings.

13E and 15E Stub axles fitted in place.

Fit 16A Lower suspension arm and 16B Subframe to 10A Front wheel arc frame to fix with six BM screws . Prior to fixing with screws , and while performing fitting motion ( blue arrows on illustration below ) , guide 13E and 15E Stub axles to fit in back cavities of 12A and 14A Hub carriers . Also at the same time , guide 13A and 15A Top mountings to meet their respective sockets in 10A Front wheel arcs .
